🏆 K-3, K-6 and K-12 Sections Individual trophies: Top five players in each section. School trophy: Awarded to the top school in each section. Eligibility: A school must have at least four players competing in the same section to qualify for the school trophy.

Registration & Eligibility

USCF Membership Required: All players in every section must have an active US Chess (USCF) membership valid through the tournament date. New or unrated players are welcome. If a USCF ID or rating has not yet been assigned at the time of registration, enter NA. The membership must still be obtained or renewed before the tournament.
Online registration remains open. Registration will continue to accept players until the tournament organizer manually closes registration. There is no automatic registration cutoff.
No onsite registration. Please complete registration online.

Players: Please bring your own chess set and chess clock.

Refunds and Changes

Refund deadline: Full refund minus a $10 processing fee if requested by 11:59 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
No refunds after pairings/event start: No refunds for withdrawals requested after 6:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2026, or once Round 1 pairings are posted, whichever is earlier. No refunds for no-shows or players who withdraw after the tournament begins.

Policies

Default time (forfeit): 30 minutes after the scheduled start.
Byes: Half-point byes must be requested before Round 2 begins and are subject to section rules.
Device policy: Phones and smartwatches must be turned off and stored. Tournament rules will be enforced.
