Round Times: U500, U1000 - 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:30 PM - Followed by Prize distribution ceremony.

    • Registration & Eligibility

    • No onsite registration. Online only before 8:00 AM, December 20, 2025.
    • Payment: Zelle/PayPal — learningpawn@gmail.com.
    • FIDE-rated sections. US Chess membership may be required if co-rated.
    • Players: Please bring your own chess set and chess clock.
    • Grandmasters (GMs only): Free entry by December 19 (foreign GMs free with $150 deducted from prize); minimum $600 prize if playing all 6 games with no byes; free hotel accommodation provided.

    Refunds and Changes

    • Refund deadline: Full refund minus a $10 processing fee if requested by 11:59 PM (PT), Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
    • No refunds after pairings / event start: No refunds for withdrawals requested after 6:00 PM (PT), Friday, March 13, 2026, or once Round 1 pairings are posted (whichever is earlier). No refunds for no-shows or for players who withdraw after the tournament starts.

    Policies

    • Default time (forfeit): 30 minutes after scheduled start.
    • Byes: ½-point byes Rounds 1–5; must request before Round 2 starts. Round-6 bye irrevocable after Round 2 begins.
    • Device policy: FIDE Laws enforced (phones/smartwatches off & stored; penalties may apply).
